PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT.

The Seasons Of Life.

I want you to consider these two phrases: The first is "Life and commerce are like the seasons." The second is "You cannot change the seasons but you can change yourself."
With these two phrases as guides, let us take a look at the seasons of life and how to handle them.

Winter: A Time to Grow Strong

You must first and foremost learn how to handle winters. There are economic winters, when the financial wolves (lack of money, need for money to carter for needs etc) are at the door; there are physical winters, when our health is poor or physical handicap; there are personal winters, when our heart is smashed to pieces.
Wintertime. Disappointments. Loneliness.

Now the big question is how do we handle the winters since we can not wish it away or run from it. Let me tell you what mature people do: They get stronger. They get wiser. They get better. It is never a bad idea to use the winter for personal development. Winters like a furnace can forge out a better person out of you, prep and ready for the next seasons in life.
Before I understood this, I used to spend my winters looking for summers. I did not understand.

From my predicaments I learnt the following:
"Do not wish it were easier, wish you were better.
Do not wish for fewer problems, wish for more skills.
Do not wish for less of a challenge, wish for more wisdom."
Since then I can not honestly tell you that I have welcomed the winters, but I can tell you that I have used them to gear up for spring which always comes after winter.

PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT.

Developing oneself.

Getting and becoming are like Newton's third law of motion which states;
"For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction."
Opportunities opens more to persons who have something or more to offer. In likewise manner opportunities open less or worse not been used by those who have little or nothing to offer.

What you become directly influence what you get. It is true to say; most of what you have today, you have attracted by becoming the person you are today.

Which confirms this great axiom of life: To Have More Than You Have Got, Become More Than You Are. Pay attention to this axiom or else you might have to contend with the axiom of not changing which is; Unless You Change How You Are, You Will Always Have What You Have Got.

Consider this statement "if you took all the money in the world and divided equally among everybody, it would soon be back in the same pockets it was before."

Yes and it implies; "It Is Hard to Keep That Which Is Not Obtained Through Personal Development."

Income and Success rarely exceeds Personal Development. Sometimes income takes a lucky jump as success would at times, but unless you learn to handle the responsibilities that come with it, it will usually shrink back to the amount you can handle.

"To be a successful; individual, entrepreneur, student, athlete, leader etc and to attain wealthy and fulfilled life, you must develop oneself."
