Please stop the harassment meted out to travelers heading east for the xmas holidays. They haven't done anything wrong to be treated like animals. Travelers coming from Lagos,Abuja and any other Northern/West/Mid state to east are been harassed and luggage seized by the customs, immigrations, NPF and the military. Onitsha bridge, Port Harcourt- Owerri road,Port-Harcourt - Aba road etc are flooded with uniform men and women extorting from motorist and travelers.
The easterners are peace loving people and shouldn't be treated like terrorists. Stop confiscating their bags of rice and other belongings. Stop extorting money from motorists, road users heading home for the holidays.
I plea with the Nigerian Armed Forces and the President Buhari to follow peace with all men. If there must check points it should be to ensure safety to travelers and not for extortion and malicious ill treatment.
Nigeria is a country bless with so many resources but most importantly is immensely blessed with law abiding and peace loving citizens.
I say no to wickedness and unjust treatment to travelers heading east for the Christmas holidays.
